Vehicle Exhaust Extraction in Workshop

Vehicle Exhaust Extraction in Workshops

Take a step towards a cleaner and healthier workplace

With a vehicle exhaust extraction system installed in your maintenance and repair workshop, you ensure a cleaner, safer and healthier workplace. Protecting your colleagues, increasing productivity, and reducing sick leave are just some of the benefits created by installing a Plymovent vehicle exhaust extraction system. Plymovent exhaust capture systems remove harmful pollutants at the source and minimize exposure to these hazardous exhaust gases.

Small workshops

Spring return hose reel systems are recommended for smaller working areas with a radius from 1.5 metres to 3 metres. When exhaust extraction is needed, the user pulls the exhaust hose down and attaches the nozzle to the vehicle tailpipe. When finished, the operator disconnects the nozzle and allows the hose to smoothly recoil back into the hose reel.

The Plymovent FumeCaddie™ can also provide effective removal of vehicle exhaust emissions in small workshops. It is a plug-and-play unit designed to capture exhaust fumes at the source and extract them from the building.

Medium sized workspaces

There are also exhaust extraction systems that are suitable for medium-sized workspaces. These systems are typically mounted to the ceiling or high on a wall and are designed for working radiuses from 1.5 metres to 6 metres. Examples of these systems are the Spring operated exhaust reels (SER), Motorized hose reels (MHR, MSHR, MER), Mini Rail Profile (MRP), Hose reel on rail (HRR), and Hose reel on boom (EB).

Large workshops

Plymovent offers various solutions for capturing and removing diesel and petrol exhaust fumes in large workshops. This is where the vehicle’s exhaust pipe is within a 6 metre to 9 metre distance from the hose/hose reel location.

Plymovent has a wide range of products and systems to suit large workshops. This includes the Spring operated exhaust reels (SER), Motorized exhaust reels (MER), or Fixed exhaust on boom (FEB).
