The 2009 Premier Regional Business Awards was held at a Gala Dinner attended by over 350 people in mid March this year. The evening was very successful for Fantech, as it won the Employment Award and the overall Premier Regional Business award.

These Awards, now in their 19th year, are a function of the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce and are designed to profile and highlight successful businesses in the Region.

To gain an understanding as to the scale of this event, the Greater Dandenong region covers a large portion of the South Eastern region of Melbourne. Statistics have shown that some 43% of the state of Victoria’s manufacturing GDP comes out of this region, and nationally it contributes approximately 15% to Australia’s production output.

The 2010 presentation showcased 15 companies who were nominated for 7 categories, there were four finalists for the Premier Business Award.

Chris Ogilvy, Managing Director of Fantech said winning The Premier Regional Business Award and Employment Category Award was a significant achievement in the history of Fantech. “We believe it to be a strong acknowledgement of the innovation, positive culture and teamwork that exists in the Melbourne office and across the Asia Pacific Group.

“I would like to thank all the staff for their hard work and on-going commitment to provide our customers with the best service and the highest quality products.”
